Your message can take many forms – it all depends on your audience and your goals! The most important thing is to keep it engaging, clear, and purpose-driven. Let people know not just what you’re doing, but why it matters. When you share your mission, whether it’s protecting the planet, raising funds for a cause, or bringing your community together, you inspire others to join in and make an impact.
Start by reaching out to people you know: friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, and invite them to join the movement! Have them register for an account with GotSneakers and make sure they use your Payee Name and Payee Email so you receive credit for their footwear. Encourage them to clean out their closets and fill at least one bag (10–12 pairs). Need more ideas? Check out our fundraising tips for extra inspiration.
Partner with local businesses, schools, gyms, or community centers to host drop-off spots. Choose locations that are easy to access and highly visible — this makes it simple and convenient for people to donate. Share the locations with your network to spread the word and let people know where to bring their sneakers. The easier you make it, the more sneakers you’ll collect!
